AOA Hosts Signature Campaign for Lovlina Borgohain

Guwahati: The Assam Olympic Association (AOA) held a special Signature Campaign to send best wishes to boxing champion Lovlina Borgohain as she competes for gold in the upcoming Paris Summer Olympics. The event saw many attendees, including Minister Pijush Hazarika, Arjuna Awardee Monalisa Barooah Mehta, and Boxing Federation of India Secretary General Hemanta Kalita.

Participants signed a flex wall to show their support for Lovlina, who hails from a remote village in Golaghat. The event also featured felicitation ceremonies for Sanjana Baruah, the first Indian Jury Member in Paralympics shooting, and swimmer Elvis Ali Hazarika for his upcoming attempt to cross the Gulf of Gdańsk.

Minister Hazarika praised Lovlina’s achievements and expressed confidence in her potential to win gold. An audio-visual presentation highlighted Lovlina’s journey and India’s Olympic prospects. The event aimed to boost the morale of athletes and inspire future sports talents from Assam.
