Bharti Airtel has announced the launch of “Priority Postpaid”, a new service powered by advanced 5G slicing technology aimed at delivering a more stable and reliable network experience for postpaid customers across India.

The service has been designed especially for users who rely heavily on uninterrupted mobile connectivity for work, entertainment, online meetings and daily digital activities.

With this launch, Airtel becomes the first telecom operator in India to introduce a commercially deployed 5G network slicing-based service. The company said it has upgraded its 5G network with advanced slicing capabilities that allow network resources to be intelligently segmented and managed in real time. This helps create additional capacity and ensures a superior and more consistent experience for Priority customers, particularly during periods of high network congestion.

Network slicing technology has already been introduced in countries such as the United States, Singapore, United Kingdom and Malaysia. Airtel stated that the rollout reflects its continued investment in building a smarter, future-ready digital network infrastructure.

Commenting on the launch, Shashwat Sharma said the company’s focus remains on introducing meaningful innovations that improve customer experience.

He said Priority Postpaid is designed to offer a superior and dependable network experience whether customers are attending work calls while travelling, streaming content at crowded venues, or accessing digital services in busy public areas.

According to Airtel, the Priority service will be available for customers across all its postpaid plans. Existing Airtel postpaid users will automatically receive the benefit, while prepaid users or customers wishing to switch can upgrade through the Airtel Thanks app or by visiting Airtel stores.
