Guwahati: Assam down town University (AdtU) celebrated the placement success of over 700 students at the AdtU Success Meet 2025, held at the K Block Auditorium on campus. The event, organized by the Directorate of Career Advancement (DCA), honoured students who secured positions in leading national and international companies during the 2024–2025 campus recruitment drive.
Dignitaries including Chancellor Dr. Narendra Nath Dutta, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Narayan Chandra Talukdar, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Pranveer Singh, members of the Board of Trustees, deans, faculty, proud parents, and jubilant students filled the venue to celebrate the university’s record-setting placement season.
In his inaugural address, Vice Chancellor Dr. N. C. Talukdar said, “This is more than a success meet—it’s a celebration of dreams fulfilled. These 700+ success stories are a testament to the resilience and potential of our students, guided by committed mentors, supportive families, and a visionary placement team.”
The placement season saw participation from 115 reputed companies, including TCS, Cognizant, Vodafone, Airtel, Blinkit, Jaro Education, Alembic Pharmaceuticals, ThoughtWorks, ITC, Marico, Apollo Hospitals, Omega Healthcare, Max Cement, UltraTech Cement, Haleon, and many more. The highest package offered reached ₹12.76 LPA, with the average package standing at ₹4.5 LPA.
Director (i/c) of the Directorate of Career Advancement, Dr. Rimjhim Baruah Borah, expressed her gratitude during the ceremony. “Each student’s placement reflects ambition, effort, and growth. We are proud to support their journeys and remain committed to expanding opportunities in the future,” she said.
