Guwahati : The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of West Guwahati College of Education organised a Financial and Digital Literacy Campaign on Tuesday in collaboration with FINO Bank. All B.Ed. trainees of the college actively took part in the programme.
The main aim of the campaign was to create awareness about safe financial practices and digital safety among future teachers. During the session, the resource person spoke about important topics such as safe use of digital platforms, protection from cyber fraud, and the concept of digital arrest. Students were advised to protect their personal information and use secure methods for online transactions.
The speaker also explained various government schemes and financial programmes available for the public. The importance of digital banking services in both rural and urban areas was highlighted. Trainees were encouraged to share this knowledge with others and help create a financially aware and digitally safe society.
The programme ended with an interactive discussion where students shared their doubts and experiences related to digital payments and financial security.
The initiative shows the college’s effort to prepare future teachers not only academically but also by giving them important life skills.
