Haflong: A gunfight took place between suspected NSCN (IM) militants and security forces in the Dihamalai area of Dima Hasao on April 29. The clash happened between N. Kubing and Harakilo villages, where security teams had been carrying out search operations for the past two days.
Three suspected militants were killed in the encounter. Security forces found two AK-47 rifles, pistols, and other weapons at the spot.
The operation is still going on and is being led by the Superintendent of Police. Security has been increased in the area to prevent more such incidents.
