Health Awareness Camp Held at Old Age Home in Guwahati

Guwahati: A health awareness camp was held on 2nd March at Pramod Talukdar Memorial Old Age Home in Beltola, Guwahati. The event was organized by ‘Aroksha’ to promote better health and hygiene among senior citizens.

Dr. Saurav Barman from Gauhati Central Jail checked the health of about 30 elderly men and women. He advised them to stay alert against diseases caused by dust mites.

Dietician Bandita Kalita gave simple food tips based on age. She also explained a daily meal schedule from morning to night to help maintain good health.

Former Cotton College professor Amalan Dwip Das attended the event and supported the initiative. Popular singer Bhitali Madhukalaya made the event lively with her performance.

Aroksha convener Nitish Sarmah said that doctors and health workers will continue organizing awareness camps on health and education in different public places.
