Guwahati: The Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Association, Borjhar, celebrated its Silver Jubilee with a grand ESM Reunion Rally on February 9, 2025, at Hari Gayatri Das College, Azara. The event aimed to address pension, banking, and documentation issues under one roof.
The rally saw the participation of 93 Ex-Servicemen, 46 Widows, and 73 Dependents. Brig Polash Choudhury, SM (Retd.), Director, Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Assam, graced the event as the Chief Guest, while Col Robin Coomar Das (Retd.) attended as the Guest of Honour. Several retired armed forces officers and civil dignitaries were also present.
Col Padmalochan Barman (Retd.), Welfare Officer, Zila Sainik Welfare Office, Kamrup (M), congratulated the ESM Association on 25 years of service and discussed key welfare initiatives.
During the event, Veer Naris, orphans, disabled dependents, and eminent veterans were honored for their sacrifices and service.
