Guwahati: Samagra Shiksha, Assam has introduced a Career Counselling program through podcasts, targeting students from classes IX to XII. The initiative, available via Tele Education Classrooms, Smart Classrooms, YouTube, and the Samagra Shiksha, Assam Facebook page, aims to provide students with career guidance. Sessions will be held on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Friday of every month.
The second session, held on October 4, 2024, featured Kapil Kumar Darphang, a first-year student at IIT-Guwahati, who shared insights on JEE preparation. The live session saw significant engagement, with around 17,000 views across YouTube, Facebook, and other platforms.
In addition to the podcasts, Samagra Shiksha, Assam has distributed a “Career Tree” chart and Career Guidance Table Books to help students explore various career options. Over 4,300 teachers have also been trained to guide students in making informed career choices.
