Guwahati: A significant narcotics bust occurred in Dhirenpara, Guwahati, as Md Rahimuddin Laskar was arrested on Monday for alleged possession of various illegal substances. The arrest was made by a team from the Fatasil Ambari police station under the West Guwahati Police District (WGPD).
During a raid at Laskar’s residence, authorities recovered 4,040 Nitrazepam tablets, 14 bottles of banned cough syrup (each 100 ml), 575 grams of cannabis, and 53 puffs used for consuming ganja. Additionally, the police seized ₹25,110 in cash and a mobile phone from the scene.
Md Rahimuddin Laskar has been taken into custody, and legal action has been initiated against him. Further details on the case are awaited.
