Guwahati: The Panbazar police arrested a thief from Ambari on June 25. The thief has been identified as Ram Das. He was apprehended by the city police from his rented room near Kalimandir, Ambari.
During the arrest, the police recovered several items from his room, including a sound mixer, laptop battery. Disposable ECG electrodes, spinal anesthesia injections, elastic adhesive bandage, and iron pillow block bearings also recovered.
“Lakhi Kalita informed us that he had purchased a sound system from Lakhtokia and loaded it onto a Magic vehicle. However, while on AT Road, during a traffic jam, an unknown miscreant stole one of the packets containing the sound mixer,” stated the Guwahati police. “Based on the clue provided by the informant, a team from Panbazar Police Station, consisting of Sub-Inspectors Pranab Deka, Jitul Das, and Nikhil Ranjan Nag, swiftly took action and apprehended Ram Das. Necessary legal action is being taken against him,” added the city police.
