Guwahati: The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has announced the squad for the first two matches of the Ranji Trophy 2026-27, with Denish Das named captain of the Assam senior men’s team.
The Ranji Trophy season will begin on October 11, 2026. Assam will face Punjab and Tripura in its opening two matches.
The 15-member Assam squad includes Denish Das, Sibsankar Roy, Rajveer Singh, Nibir Deka, Rishav Das, Swarupam Purkayastha, Sumit Ghadigaonkar, Anurag Talukdar, Mohit Thakur, Amlanjyoti Das, Mukhtar Hussain, Sunil Lachit, Dipjyoti Saikia, Roshan Alam and Bishal Newar.
Rituraj Biswas, Ayush Agarwal, Darshan Rajbangshi, Hridip Deka, Akash Sengupta, Bhargab Pratim Lahkar, Abdul Ajij Kuraishi, Rahul Singh and Bishal Saha have been named as standby players.
The squad will represent Assam in the opening phase of the multi-day domestic tournament, with the team aiming to make a strong start to the new Ranji Trophy season.
