Assam Government Allocates Portfolios to Newly Inducted Ministers

Guwahati: The Assam Government on Tuesday allocated portfolios to the newly inducted ministers following the swearing-in of the new cabinet led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Guwahati: The Assam Government on Tuesday allocated portfolios to the newly inducted ministers following the swearing-in of the new cabinet led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

According to the portfolio distribution, Rameswar Teli has been assigned the departments of Transformation and Development, Labour Welfare, and Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare.

Atul Bora has been given charge of Panchayat and Rural Development, Implementation of Assam Accord, Border Protection and Development, and Excise departments.

Charan Boro has been allotted the Transport Department along with Welfare of Bodoland.

Meanwhile, Ajanta Neog will head the Women and Child Development and Tourism departments.

The portfolio allocation comes shortly after the new ministers took oath as part of the second-term government headed by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
