Guwahati: A Zila Sainik Board and Sainik Bandhu Meeting was held today at the DC’s Conference Hall, Kamrup (Metro), chaired by District Commissioner Sumit Sattawan, IAS, to address issues faced by Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris, and their families.
The meeting was attended by senior officials including District Development Commissioner Parijat Bhuyan, ADC Kankan Sarmah, Col. Veterans from HQ 51 Sub Area, Circle Officers, BDOs, serving and retired defense officers, DIPRO, and other stakeholders.
Col. Padmalochan Barman (Retd), Welfare Officer, Kamrup (M), welcomed the participants and highlighted key agenda points. The discussion focused on office space for the ESM Association, issuance of PRCs, and land-related grievances. One long-pending land case was resolved during the meeting.
The DC assured swift action on land encroachment and settlement issues and instructed Circle Officers to carry out field verifications. Other departments were directed to work closely with the ZSWO for timely grievance redressal.
The meeting concluded with the DC reaffirming the administration’s commitment to the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.
