Guwahati: In another instance of man-animal conflict, a 45-year-old man named Kamal Kalita was killed by a wild elephant at Deepor Beel on the outskirts of Guwahati. The attack happened on Monday night in the Miki Para area.

Kamal Kalita, a laborer, was attacked and trampled to death by the elephant. Forest officials were alerted and arrived at the scene, sending Kalita’s body to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for a post-mortem examination.
