Guwahati: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Guwahati has issued a weather alert. It said that moderate thunderstorms, along with light to moderate rain and surface winds, are very likely in some parts of Assam.
The alert is for the Saturday in the following districts:
- Barpeta
- Darrang
- Goalpara
- Kamrup Metro
- Nalbari
- Sonitpur
- Udalguri
People in these areas are advised to stay alert and avoid outdoor activities if possible.
This update is issued in public interest by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).
