Orang: In a tragic incident at Orang National Park and Tiger Reserve, a forest guard was killed by a tiger while on patrolling duty on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred in the Billpar Anti-Poaching camp area of the park.

The victim, identified as Dhanmani Deka, was reportedly attacked and dragged by the tiger. His body, bearing fatal injuries, was found later that night outside the Kahibari camp by a forest team after a few hours of intense search operations.

Following the incident, a high alert has been issued across the national park. Efforts are underway to track the tiger responsible for the attack. The local community is on edge, worried about the presence of a potential man-eater in the area.
