Successful Completion of Gunotsav-2024’s First Phase in Assam


Guwahati : The initial phase of Gunotsav-2024 in Assam concluded on January 6, 2024. Spanning from January 3 to January 6, the assessment covered 12 districts, including Barpeta, Bajali, Hojai, Karimganj, Kamrup, Karbi Anglong, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Sivasagar, South Salmara-Mankachar, and Udalguri.

A comprehensive evaluation involved 15,04,939 students from classes I to IX across 16,792 schools, comprising Government/Provincialized schools, Adarsha Vidyalayas, Tea Garden Model schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalayas, and Tea Garden Management schools.

External evaluators, including IAS, IPS, IFS, ACS, APS, AFS, and Class-I & II officials of the State Government, actively participated in the evaluation process. Additionally, Ministers, MPs, MLAs, CEMs, EMs engaged as External Evaluators visited various schools, interacting with students, teachers, parents/guardians, mother groups, and community members.
