Guwahati: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) hosted the third Zonal Round of the RBI90 Quiz at Hotel Radisson Blu, Guwahati. This quiz, organized for undergraduate students across the country, is part of RBI’s 90th-anniversary celebrations.
State-level winners from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, and Tripura participated in the event with great enthusiasm. The team from Tripura, comprising Shubhajit Chakraborty and Shreya Modak, emerged victorious and secured a spot in the National Round, scheduled to take place in Mumbai on December 6, 2024.
The second and third places were claimed by teams from NIT Silchar College, Assam, and NIT Meghalaya College, Meghalaya, respectively. The winners were awarded cash prizes of ₹5 lakh, ₹4 lakh, and ₹3 lakh for their remarkable performances.
Arnab Kumar Chowdhury, Executive Director of RBI, addressed the participants and emphasized the dual purpose of the RBI90 Quiz—celebrating 90 years of the Reserve Bank and promoting financial literacy. He highlighted the pivotal role of financial awareness among youth in strengthening the country’s financial ecosystem.
