Guwahati: Garchuk Police apprehended three individuals on June 29, as they attempted to steal cash from an ATM located in Lokhra, Guwahati. The suspects, identified as Ritesh Raj, Debanandan Kumar, and Pramud Singh, were caught after the local public informed the authorities.
During the arrest, the police recovered various tools, including a swipe machine and ATM cards, that were allegedly used in the attempted theft. The suspects, aged between 26 and 32 years, hail from Fatehpur in the Gaya district.
The trio was caught in the act of tampering with the upper hood of the SBI ATM machine in an effort to gain unauthorized access to the cash inside. Legal proceedings have been initiated against them for their involvement in the crime.
