A packed audience enjoyed a captivating cultural show at the Sri Sri Madhavadeva International Auditorium of Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra on July 12, 2024. Students of Murchana Music Academy, located in Pub Sarania, Guwahati, mesmerized the audience with instrumental and vocal performances in Assamese, Hindi, and Western music. The academy, since 2000, has been providing scientific training in various instruments and vocal music, both in-person and virtually.
Envisioning The Future Of The Third Pole And The Eastern Himalayas
The event began with a chorus performance of ‘Luka-Bhaku Khelo Nai Amoni’ by students, followed by solo performances on keyboard and piano, and group performances on violin. The programme also included a collective dance performance and a series of group songs. Dheemanta Kumar Baruah was awarded the best result in the 2023 Acoustic guitar exam, and students received certificates and mementos for their achievements in music.
The evening concluded with the state song of Assam, ‘O Mur Apunar Dekh,’ performed by students on keyboard and guitar, beautifully anchored by Ragini Goswami and Maikon Devi.
