Guwahati: Marwari Hospitals celebrated Women’s Day in association with Adhivakta Parishad, Assam Prant on Friday, focusing on the theme “Role of Women in Nation Building” with a special emphasis on the challenges faced by women in the workplace and their remedies.

Notable guests included Mr. Ramesh Goenka, President of Marwari Hospitals; Prof. Vinod Bhatra, National Executive member of Akil Bhartiya Adhivakta Parisad and President of Adhivakta Parishad Assam Prant; Senior Advocate Millie Hazarika; IPS ACP of Jalukbari Division Ms. Somalin Subhadarsini; Mr. R.S Joshi, General Secretary of Marwari Hospitals, and Advocate Jayasri Baishya.

Mr. Ramesh Goenka, in his welcome address, highlighted the increasing role of women in various fields and emphasized the importance of women’s safety and well-being in the workplace.

Senior Advocate Millie Hazarika delivered a lecture on the “Role of Women in Nation Building” and underscored the need to address issues of sexual harassment and abuse faced by women.

The program concluded with brief speeches by Mr. R.S Joshi and Prof. Vinod Bhatra, followed by a Question & Answer session and the National Anthem. Smti. Pangkhi Bora, Co-Convenor of the Study Circle, Gauhati High Court Unit, Adhivakta Parishad Assam Prant, efficiently anchored the event.
