Siliguri: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee virtually inaugurated the Techno India Group World School in Siliguri during the Siliguri Business Meet 2025. The all-girls residential-cum-day school will offer education from nursery to Class 12, with hostel facilities.
Praising Techno India Group and its MD Satyam Roychowdhury, the CM highlighted the school’s role in promoting girls’ education in North Bengal and the North East. She also suggested setting up a fashion institute in the region, citing the youth’s interest in fashion.
Roychowdhury announced plans for a Skill Knowledge and Fashion University in Siliguri, approved by the state government. The new world school has already begun attracting national and international attention.
