Guwahati: Olympic medal winner Lovlina Borgohain will open her new boxing academy in Guwahati on June 3. The academy aims to train young boxers from Assam and across India and help them win medals at national and international levels.
The Lovlina Boxing Academy will be officially launched by Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. It will offer modern training facilities and a professional environment for both boys and girls who want to build a career in boxing.
Lovlina, who won a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics and received the Khel Ratna award, said, “This academy will give the right training, support, and mindset to help young talent succeed. I want to help others achieve their dreams like I did.”
The academy will focus on discipline, fitness, mental strength, and world-class coaching. It will also create a strong sports network in the Northeast region of India.
The Lovlina Boxing Academy is a big step towards making Guwahati a sports hub and giving new opportunities to future champions.
