Guwahati: In the aegis of North-East Liver Foundation Society, North-East Medicon, 2023 was held a program at Greenwood Resort, Khanapara on May 13. The Medicon was attended by about 200 experienced doctors from various parts of the country. Atleast 35 students and many dignitaries from districts of Assam associated with North-East Liver Foundation Society in many ways were felicitated. In this felicitation program was attended by Krishna Boruah; Director of Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission, Swapnali Mahanta; Ex Vice-President of Assam Police Wives Welfare Association, Dr. Sangeeta Tripathi; Director of Nerim Group of Institution. Here, a documentary produced based on year-long programs of North-East Liver Foundation Society was screened. An awareness meeting on diabetic disease was held. In the main program ‘Medicon, 2023’ started from evening was graced by Navadeep Kalita; Vice-chairman of Assam Industrial Development Corporation Limited (AIDC), Bhabadev Goswami; Specialist Doctor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department; Dispur Hospital, Dr. Rupam Das of Down Town Hospital.
In this program, Professor Anil Arora; Specialist Doctor of Sir Gangaram Hospital, Delhi was conferred ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ from North-East Liver Foundation Society by Dr. Amitabh Sharma; Founding President of the society for distinguished contribution to Medical Sciences. In the meeting, Ten Doctors of Assam, Journalist Ranjita Devi and distinguished persons of various fields were felicitated.
