New Delhi: Lok Sabha Speaker has nominated Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, Member of Parliament from the Lok Sabha, to be part of the Indian Parliamentary Delegation at the 15th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA). The event will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from February 18 to 20, 2025. Kiran Choudhry, Member of Parliament from the Rajya Sabha, will also be part of the delegation.
The APA is an organization comprising 43 Parliaments from Asia that work together to promote regional cooperation and address common challenges. This year’s plenary session will focus on the role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening multilateral cooperation across Asia. Discussions will also include the adoption of resolutions on social and cultural cooperation, economic growth, and sustainable development.
