“Kahin Gumn Na Ho Jayein” Cooking Competition Held in Guwahati

Guwahati: Cook Right Eat Right presented the seventh season of the cooking competition “Kahin Gumn Na Ho Jayein” at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Guwahati. The event celebrated India’s lost recipes, focusing on traditional dishes.

The competition had 26 participants showcasing their culinary talents. Judges for the event were Chef Hemanta Baishya, Chef Bikram Sen, and Reena Mukherjee, with Chef Saikya Singha, Head of Department at IHM, as the Chief Guest.

Niluphar Hussain won first place, followed by Kundrakpam Nungthel Chanu in second, and Anita Saikia Kalita in third. Rumi Rani Saikia received a consolation prize. The winners will now compete in the final round in Delhi.

The competition aims to revive forgotten recipes and inspire younger generations to appreciate India’s rich culinary heritage.
