Guwahati: Sonapur police conducted a raid and seized a large quantity of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from various grocery shops and dhabas on July 30.

A case has been registered at Sonapur PS with case number 153/2023 under sections 379/411 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), along with Section 53(1) A of the Assam Excise Act. As a result of the raid, two individuals named Ganesh Das and Niranjan Das were apprehended and subsequently produced before the court.
