The National Ayush Mission, Assam, launched an IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) Van on November 30, 2024, at the Satgaon Urban State Dispensary, Kamrup Metro. The initiative aims to boost awareness and adoption of Ayush’s holistic health practices.
The event was attended by key dignitaries, including Dr. Indranoshree Das, Director of Ayush, Ms. Suswapna Kakati, OSD, Directorate of Ayush, and Dr. Umesh Phangso, Director of Health Services, Kamrup Metro, among others. The IEC Van launch reflects a commitment to promoting natural healing systems that complement mainstream healthcare.
The van will utilize digital media, print campaigns, and community outreach to educate the public about Ayush’s benefits, encouraging its integration into daily life. This effort supports the National Ayush Mission’s goal of fostering health and wellness through natural remedies and traditional medicine.
A second IEC Van is planned for Dibrugarh, further expanding the initiative’s reach. By promoting Ayush practices, the campaign aims to enhance public health and well-being across Assam, blending traditional wisdom with modern outreach methods.
