Guwahati: Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya inaugurated the 26th National Conference of Practicing Company Secretaries, organised by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) in Guwahati.
The two-day event is focused on the theme “Dynamic Regulatory Landscape: CS@Excelling Strategies” and brings together experts from the corporate world and regulatory bodies.
The Governor praised Company Secretaries for their key role in making sure companies follow laws and work with honesty. ICSI President CS Dhananjay Shukla said that Company Secretaries help maintain good governance in a fast-changing business world.
The conference also included the release of new books, tools, and support materials for Company Secretaries. ICSI also signed an MoU with the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC).
ICSI announced two upcoming events:
- National Sustainability Conference in Udaipur (July 26–27)
- Board Mentorship Programme in Kalimpong (September 18–21)
MPs Bhubaneswar Kalita and Dilip Saikia, along with ICSI leaders, also attended the event.
