Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU) has made its mark by winning three medals at the 38th AIU Inter-University National Youth Festival held at Amity University, Noida, from March 3 to 6, 2025.

Students from 148 universities across India participated in 28 competitions, including music, dance, debate, skits, and art. Over 2,000 students competed in the event, organized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

GCU students earlier won three gold medals in Western Solo Singing, Western Group Singing, and Mimicry at the Northeast Zonal Festival held at ICFAI University, Tripura. This victory secured their place in the National Youth Festival.

At the national level, Charlene Mahalia won a silver medal in Western Solo Singing, Ayon Chila Oja won a bronze medal in Mimicry, and a team of eight GCU students won a bronze medal in Western Group Singing.

These achievements show the hard work and talent of GCU students, along with the support of their faculty and mentors. The university congratulated the winners and encouraged all students to continue excelling in cultural and academic fields.
