Five Arrested in Assam-Arunachal Border Firing Incident, Assam DGP Confirms


Guwahati : The Assam Director General of Police (DGP) GP Singh has confirmed the arrest of five individuals in connection with the firing incident that occurred at the Assam-Arunachal border. The incident, which resulted in the loss of a life and several injuries, took place in Dhemaji and Gogamukh police station areas on June 5. The arrested suspects, whose names have not been disclosed, will face charges under multiple sections including 147/148/302/326/307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) read with 25 (1) (a)/27 (3) of the Arms Act.

Arunachal Police has arrested 5 accused persons. Assam police would take them in custody following due procedure.
