Guwahati: The Kamrup Metro Excise Department, led by the Inspector of Excise, Jalukbari Circle, Gobardhan Deka, conducted a raid in the Adingiri and Kalikhola areas of Jalukbari on Monday. The operation targeted illicit liquor production and illegal activities under the jurisdiction of the Jalukbari Police Station.
Items Seized and Destroyed:
- Fermented Wash (FW): 11,100 kg
- Illicit Distilled Liquor (I/D liquor): 70 liters
- Distillation Apparatus (DA): 18 sets
- Rice Cake: 85 kg
- Drums: 64 (both small and large)
The excise team ensured the seized materials were destroyed on-site. The raid is part of ongoing efforts by the authorities to curb illegal liquor production in the region.
Authorities have pledged to continue their strict vigilance and conduct similar operations to maintain law and order in the district.
