Guwahati: Devajit Saikia, a former first-class cricketer from Assam, has been appointed as the acting secretary of the BCCI by Board President Roger Binny. Saikia replaces Jay Shah, who recently assumed the role of ICC President.
Previously serving as the BCCI Joint Secretary, Saikia’s appointment has been celebrated by the Assam Cricket Association (ACA). The ACA President Taranga Gogoi, Secretary Tridib Konwar, and the entire Apex Council congratulated him on this significant achievement.
The ACA expressed pride in Saikia’s accomplishment, calling it a remarkable milestone for Assam cricket and a testament to his dedication to the sport.
