Guwahati: Acting on a tip-off, a joint operation by the Crime Branch and East Police district conducted a raid at an apartment in “Ganpati Enclave” situated at Sewali Path, Hengrabari, under Dispur Police Station.

During the operation, law enforcement officials seized suspected Psychotropic Substances, including 33 grams of Cocaine and 11.64 grams of MDMA, from the possession of two individuals identified as Digbijoy Navis (37) and Kundan Thakur (19). Additionally, authorities confiscated a vehicle, three mobile handsets, a digital weighing machine, and Rs. 3000 in cash (in 500 denominations), along with other objectionable materials.
As part of the ongoing investigation, three other males and two females have been detained for questioning. The authorities are working to unravel the extent of the alleged drug-related activities and bring those responsible to justice.
