CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Reviews Key Projects in Duliajan Constituency

Dibrugarh: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma held a high-level review meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Dibrugarh to assess the progress of 87 key infrastructure projects in the Duliajan Legislative Assembly constituency.

The reviewed projects include major works in roads, housing, irrigation, power, water resources, and health, under both Central and State government schemes. Dr. Sarma directed officials to ensure timely and high-quality execution of all ongoing works.

He specifically monitored the progress of the Moran-Digboi road via Naharkatia, including the stretch from Bhadoi Panchali to Digboi, urging the PWD to speed up completion. He also reviewed the ₹12 crore mini-stadium under construction in Duliajan, model schools in tea gardens, 21 Jagannath Community Halls and Skill Centres, and embankment works on rivers like Burhi Dihing and Tingrai.

Projects under departments such as Housing & Urban Affairs, Power, Rural Development, Health, Education, Agriculture, and PHE were reviewed. The CM also evaluated PMAY (G) housing progress and implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID cards.

On the agriculture front, Dr. Sarma discussed procurement of paddy and mustard seeds at MSP, and emphasized boosting potato cultivation to benefit Dibrugarh’s farming community. He also assessed the progress of PM-Kisan registration.

Additionally, the CM reviewed law and order data, police staffing, road accidents, crimes against women and children, and actions against child marriage.

Ministers Bimal Bora and Prasanta Phukan, MLAs, and senior government officials including Special Chief Secretary MK Yadava and Principal Secretary to CM Dr. KK Dwivedi were present during the meeting.
