Guwahati: Renowned educator, Professor Deven Dutta, who held a prominent place in Assam’s educational landscape, breathed his last on August 18 at GMCH. The distinguished figure was 81 years old. Having previously served as a professor and vice principal at Cotton College, he commanded immense respect in the field of education. Unfortunately, he was battling heart disease and had been under care at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital since August 11.
