Assam Hosts Digital Swasthya Summit to Strengthen Healthcare Collaboration

Guwahati: Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, Assam, and National Health Mission, Assam, collaborated with the National Health Authority, New Delhi, organized a Digital Swasthya Summit on November 30, 2023.

The summit, held at Assam Administrative Staff College, Guwahati, aimed to enhance collaboration with private hospitals, Medical Councils, and Medical Associations in Assam for more effective implementation of National Health Programmes. Key officials, including Shri Avinash P Joshi, IAS, Dr. M S Lakshmi Priya, IAS, and Shri Pankaj Chamuah, ACS, participated in the event, emphasizing the importance of integrating health facilities into the Digital Health Ecosystem. The summit provided insights into ongoing health programs, the role of government and private hospitals, and the significance of health portals for improved healthcare services in Assam. Shri Avinash P Joshi highlighted the need for all health facilities to register under the Health Facility Registry, promoting active participation in the emerging Digital Health Ecosystem. Dr. M S Lakshmi Priya emphasized joint cooperation between ABDM and NHM for the successful implementation of healthcare missions in Assam.
