Guwahati : The eagerly anticipated Assam Book Fair 2023 commenced at the Assam Engineering Institute (AEI) field in Chamdmari on December 29. Running until January 9, the event boasts 135 book stalls and publication houses, featuring representatives from Kolkata, Delhi, Dhaka, Ranchi, Noida, and Punjab.

Dr. Nanigopal Mahanta Badia, Advisor to the Department of Education, Government of Assam, J Sai Deepak (eminent writer and Supreme Court advocate), and Dr K Srinivasa Rao, Secretary of Sahitya Akademi, graced the inaugural ceremony.
Organized by the Publication Board Assam (PBA) and the All Assam Publishers’ and Book Sellers’ Association, the fair promises a literary extravaganza for book enthusiasts in Guwahati.
