Manipur: In a meticulously planned joint operation, the Indian Army and Assam Rifles successfully recovered a significant cache of arms and ammunition in the Yaripok area of Thoubal district, Manipur, on May 29, 2024. Acting on precise intelligence inputs, the security forces conducted a thorough search, leading to the discovery of various weapons and explosives.
The items recovered during the operation include:
- One 9mm Carbine Machine Gun
- One 9mm Pistol
- One Double Barrel Gun
- Six Hand Grenades
- A substantial quantity of ammunition and other war-like stores
