Golaghat: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced that it will not form alliances with any other party for the upcoming assembly by-elections and panchayat elections in Assam. This decision was conveyed by Rajesh Sharma, the party’s national leader and in-charge of the Northeast, during the AAP karyakarta sanmilan in Golaghat today.

Sharma mentioned that AAP will soon declare which constituencies it will contest in the by-elections. The convention, held at Pragati Sora in Golaghat town, was attended by a significant number of party workers from various parts of the district.
Addressing the gathering, AAP state working committee member Rajeev Saikia and party leader Romen Borthakur emphasized the need for a political change in Assam. Borthakur noted that some regional parties have allied with the Congress to maintain their presence in the state.
During the event, Rajiv Lochan Gogoi and Anilesh Gogoi joined AAP, further bolstering the party’s ranks in the region.
