Guwahati: The Government of Assam has declared a local holiday on March 4, 2026, within the jurisdiction of Kamrup (Metro) district on the occasion of Dol Jatra (Holi).
As per an official order, all State Government offices and educational institutions under Kamrup (Metro) district will remain closed on that day.
All financial institutions in the district will also remain closed in view of the holiday, as per provisions under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 and related Government of India notification.
The holiday will be applicable only within Kamrup (Metro) district.
