Assam down town University Hosts HR Conclave 5.0 on AI-Driven Recruitment

Guwahati: Assam down town University successfully organised the much-anticipated HR Conclave 5.0, bringing together top industry leaders, HR strategists, and technology innovators for a full-day discussion on the theme “Recruitment 5.0: AI and Automation Redefining Talent Acquisition.” The conclave focused on how artificial intelligence and automation are transforming recruitment, skilling, workforce readiness, and the evolving responsibilities of HR professionals. The event began with registration, networking tea, lamp lighting, and welcome remarks, setting the tone for insightful sessions throughout the day.

The first panel discussion—“AI as a Catalyst for Skilling, Career Readiness, and Employability”—featured experts including Ashish Banka, Rajendra Lingwal, Mustafa Kamal Laskar, Anjan Pathak, Nandini Basu Paul, and Subba Gonella, who explained how AI-driven tools are reshaping the future of talent management. The second panel—“The Future Role of HR in an AI-Driven Recruitment Era”—saw speakers such as Prabhanjan Prasoon, Priyanka Sinha, Manoj K Prasad, Jagadamba B, Abhishek Arun, and Lengdon Rajkhowa discuss how HR professionals must evolve into strategic partners capable of leveraging digital intelligence for organisational growth.

Speaking at the event, Assam down town University Vice-Chancellor Dr N.C. Talukdar said that HR Conclave 5.0 reflects the university’s commitment to preparing the next generation for a rapidly changing world shaped by AI. Dr Rimjhim Baruah Borah, Director (i/c) of the Directorate of Career Advancement, said the conclave serves as a bridge between learning and employability, enabling students and professionals to adapt to technological advancements.

The programme also included felicitation of judges and panel experts, followed by the prestigious HR Award Ceremony recognising outstanding contributions in the field. The conclave concluded with a Vote of Thanks and a Networking Lunch, reinforcing Assam down town University’s efforts to foster industry-academia collaboration and promote future-ready human resource development.
