Guwahati: Media XI secured a six-wicket victory against Dispur Press Club in the opening match of the North East Media Cricket Tournament at Nehru Stadium, Guwahati. The tournament is organized by Dispur Press Club in association with Sister Masala.
Dispur Press Club won the toss and set a target of 142 runs in 15 overs. In reply, Media XI successfully chased the target, scoring 148 runs for 4 wickets in 14.4 overs.
The opening ceremony was attended by Livestock Corporation Chairman Manoj Saikia, former Ranji cricketer Nasir Gul Khan, and sports organizer Kalyan Das.
