Dehradun: Mussoorie Thunders emerged victorious in the inaugural Patanjali Women’s Uttarakhand Premier League, defeating Nainital SG Pipers by three wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
Chasing 119, the Thunders overcame early setbacks with Prema Rawat leading the charge, remaining unbeaten at 32* and earning the Player of the Final award. Rawat’s crucial boundaries kept the chase alive, while Ankita Dhami sealed the win with a single in the final over.
Nainital SG Pipers set a target of 118/8, with Kanak Tapraniya scoring 29. Rudra Sharma shone with the ball for the Thunders, taking 3/20.
