Karimganj: In a significant joint operation by the Special Task Force (STF) and Karimganj Police, a massive quantity of drugs was seized in the Lamajuar area under Badarpur Police Station. The operation was led by IGP Partha Sarathi Mahanta and SP Partha Protim Das.
The authorities discovered 2,20,000 Yaba tablets hidden in the secret chambers of two backlights of a Bolero vehicle. The Bolero camper vehicle, which did not have a registration number, was also seized.
Three individuals from Tripura were arrested in connection with the bust:
- Khairul Hussain (Driver)
- Mamon Miya
- Nabir Hussain
The estimated value of the seized consignment is ₹66 crore.
