Guwahati: The Assam government has officially announced the consolidation of the state boards for Class 10 and 12. The decision was taken during a cabinet session chaired by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The resolution involves merging the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA), and the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) to establish a new unified entity named the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB).
