Guwahati: As part of its World Environment Week celebrations, Resonia continued its large-scale plantation drive across various project areas with a target of planting 500 saplings.
The initiative, launched on June 5, covered several locations including the KEC Store at Rakhaldubi, Kajalgaon Police Station, Sidli Circle Office, and other institutions within the project area. The plantation drive also extended to hospitals, schools, colleges and government offices.
Police personnel, government officials, staff members and local stakeholders actively participated in the programme, which was organised in collaboration with KEC.
Resonia said the initiative aims to promote environmental conservation, increase green cover and encourage community participation in sustainable development activities.
The company has also planned regular monitoring and maintenance of the planted saplings through periodic follow-ups to ensure their survival and growth.
Resonia thanked all participants and stakeholders for their support and reiterated its commitment to environmental sustainability and creating a greener future for the region.
