Guwahati: Assam down town University organised “Campus to Corporate 2026” in Guwahati on May 23, bringing together students, parents, academicians, industry experts, career mentors and alumni on a common platform.
The programme aimed to help students understand career planning, industry exposure and skill development while preparing them for future professional opportunities.
A major highlight of the event was the felicitation ceremony for meritorious Class 10 and 12 students. The university honoured students for their academic achievements and encouraged them to make informed decisions regarding higher education and careers.
Several experts and professionals addressed the event, including M.K. Modi, Pranveer Singh, Dipankar Talukdar, Deepak Rayapudi, Karuna Kanta, Varsha Patwari, STEM educator Dinesh Kr. Lahoti and university alumnus Barsha Das.
The sessions focused on career readiness, international opportunities, digital transformation, industry expectations and professional growth. Interactive discussions and alumni interactions also gave students an opportunity to directly engage with experts and seek guidance on future careers.
The university stated that the initiative was organised to bridge the gap between academics and industry by providing mentorship, exposure and career guidance to students.
