Guwahati: Hotel Palacio has announced the launch of its second property in Guwahati at Paltan Bazar, strengthening its presence in the Northeast hospitality sector. With the new addition, the brand now operates three properties overall, including two in Guwahati and one in Alipurduar.

Alongside the launch, Palacio Hospitality also unveiled an ambitious ₹800 crore expansion roadmap, with plans to develop 10 properties over the next decade. The company said its primary focus will remain on the Northeast, while also exploring opportunities in other parts of India.

Located in the busy commercial and transit hub of Paltan Bazar, the new hotel aims to cater to the increasing demand for quality accommodation, events, and dining experiences driven by rising tourism and business activities in the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Anup Poddar said Hotel Palacio is a brand built in Assam and reflects the region’s growing aspirations and development. He added that Guwahati has played a major role in the brand’s journey, making expansion within the city a natural step.

Ankit Poddar said the company’s expansion strategy is based on a long-term and sustainable growth model. He stated that while the Northeast remains the core focus area, the group is also open to opportunities in other emerging markets across India.

The new property features 83 rooms, more than 6,000 square feet of indoor banquet space, a 7,000 square feet rooftop venue, conference rooms, and boardroom facilities. The hotel is expected to cater to corporate travellers, social events, and large gatherings.

As part of its hospitality offering, the hotel has also introduced Omara, a signature restaurant developed in collaboration with Vicky Ratnani. The property will additionally feature Guwahati’s first cocktail bar-cum listening room, targeting customers seeking curated social and dining experiences.

The company said the expansion aligns with the growing demand for hospitality services in emerging cities like Guwahati, which continues to witness increasing business, transit, and leisure travel.
