Guwahati: Gauhati University has issued a clarification after misleading information regarding admissions for the academic session 2026–27 was circulated by an external education portal named Education Dunia.
In a statement, a university spokesperson said that no official notification regarding admissions for the new academic session has been released yet. The university also stated that the information being shared by the portal is unauthorised and does not represent the official position of Gauhati University.
Following the confusion among students and guardians, the university has advised all undergraduate aspirants for the 2026–27 session to rely only on official sources for correct information.
The university further informed that all admission-related announcements, including details of the Common Admission Portal, will be officially released through the Department of Higher Education, Government of Assam, and the official website of Gauhati University.
Gauhati University also urged students and guardians to verify all updates through official channels only, assuring that the university will ensure transparent and authentic information regarding the admission process.
